Anfang 2021 hat Microsoft Graph Connectors eingeführt.
Mit Graph Connectors kann Microsoft Search mit externen Daten ergänzt werden, zum Beispiel Inhalte aus On-prem File Share, Azure DevOps, Jira Cloud, ServiceNow und andere. Microsoft führt eine Liste über mögliche Integrationen. Einmal eingerichtet findet Microsoft Search Inhalte aus den externen Produkten. Ich selbst hatte die Connectors für Azure DevOps und Confluence in Microsoft Search ausprobiert.
Organisationen, die Graph Connectors nutzen möchten, benötigen Graph Connectors Kapazität. Neben Microsoft Search nutzen Copilot Produkte und Integrationen mittlerweile ebenfalls die Kapazität.
Bisher erhalten Organisationen mit E5- und Copilot for Microsoft 365-Lizenzen pro Lizenz jeweils 500 Items Graph Connector Kapazität. Alternativ können sie Kapazität kaufen, pro Paket jeweils eine Million Items. Die Kapazität gilt pro Tenant. Günstig ist die Kapazität nicht.
Im Search Admin Center listet Microsoft wie viel Kapazität im Tenant genutzt wird und wie viel Kapazität ein Tenant nutzen kann.
Microsoft informiert über eine Änderung an der Kapazität ab Mitte September.
Neu erhalten Tenants eine Kapazität von 50 Millionen Microsoft Graph Connector Items, sofern sie eine der folgenden Lizenzen nutzen.
- Microsoft 365 E5 / E3 / A5 / A3 / F3 / F1
- Office 365 E5 / E3 / E1 / F3 / A5 / A3
- Microsoft 365 Business Premium / Business Standard / Business Basic
Previously, to index third-party data into Microsoft Graph through Microsoft Graph connectors, you either needed to have a built-in entitlement through specific licenses (e.g., 500 items of index quota per Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 license) or purchase add-on quota. With this change, the index quota per license entitlement is removed, as is add-on cost for additional quota. You now receive an entitlement of 50 million items for each tenant.
In den Lizenzen wird ein neuer Serviceplan “Graph Connectors Search with Index” ergänzt. In E5- und Copilot for Microsoft 365-Lizenzen ist der Serviceplan bereits heute inkludiert. Die bestehende Quota wird auf 50 Millionen Items erhöht.
50 Millionen Items pro Tenant ist aktuell auch das Maximum für Graph Connector Items.
Beachte, laut aktueller Lizenzinformation unterstützt ein Connector jeweils bis zu 5 Millionen Items. Für mehr Items ist ein Kontakt zum Microsoft Account Manager erforderlich.
As a reminder: Each entity (or record) from the source data system that you add to Microsoft Graph can be considered an item which then shows up as a unique citation in Copilot’s responses, as a unique search result in Microsoft Search, etc.
Depending on the type of data source, 1 item is –
- 1 document (word, excel, ppt, pdf, etc.) in file share
- 1 wiki page in Confluence
- 1 webpage in a website
- 1 ticket/issue in Jira
Total quota utilized is calculated in terms of total items stored in the index. Updates/changes to an item are not counted in any manner. There are no cost implications of updating an item multiple times. It still counts as 1 item only.
