In Outlook für Windows werden Diagnostics Logs aktiviert

Sofern aktiviert können Mitarbeitende im neuen Outlook für Windows Support beantragen. Neu wird es für Geschäftskonten ausserdem eine Option geben weitere Informationen für die Analyse zu übermitteln.

Microsoft beschreibt die Möglichkeit nur kurz in der Hilfe.

Submitting diagnostic information provides Microsoft with added information that can make your feedback more actionable because it can provide us with additional information to help investigate your problem.

Die Option für „Get Diagnostics“ ist heute standardmässig inaktiv. Ende September ändert Microsoft den Status von inaktiv auf aktiv.

This new feature is now off by default, but you can turn it on by following the instructions below. In late September, it will be on by default unless you have turned it off before then.

Administratoren können die Möglichkeit mit einer Cloud Policy über das Microsoft 365 Apps Admin Center oder in Intune wieder deaktivieren.

1. Öffne das Microsoft 365 Apps Admin Center > Customization > Policy Management, alternativ über Intune > Apps > Policies for Office apps.
2. Erstelle eine neue Policy oder bearbeite eine bestehende und suche nach der Policy „Configure Get Diagnostics feature’s visibility in the Help Ribbon in Office applications and control the feature’s mode of operation“.

3. Du hast verschiedene Optionen zur Konfiguration.

Not configured
Es übernimmt die Standardkonfiguration von Microsoft. In der Konfiguration aktiviert es die Option ab Ende September im neuen Outlook.

Enabled > Disabled
Die Möglichkeit „Get Diagnostics“ wird in Outlook nicht dargestellt. Es ist die Standardkonfiguration bis Ende September.

Enabled > Upload diagnostics logs to Microsoft
„Get Diagnostics“ wird in Outlook dargestellt. Es wird ab Ende September die Standardkonfiguration sein, vergleichbar mit „Not configured“.

Enabled > Capture diagnostics logs in a local archive, don’t upload logs to Microsoft
Eine Zwischenlösung. Der Benutzer kann die Logs bei Bedarf manuell an Microsoft übermitteln, wenn der Support Agent danach fragt.

Zur Erinnerung, eine Cloud Policy benötigt einige Stunden bis zur Aktivierung.
