New Copilot Studio service plan in Copilot licenses

User accounts with a Copilot for Microsoft 365 license can open Copilot Studio (copilotstudio.microsoft.com) and create Copilot GPTs themselves. Regardless of which service plan is active in the Copilot license, access to Copilot Studio is enabled.

Announced a few weeks ago, a new service plan for Copilot Studio has been added to the Copilot license. License administrators can now control which accounts have access to Copilot Studio instead of granting access to all accounts with a Copilot license. As usual with a new service plan, the plan is active by default.

The ID of the service plan is fe6c28b3-d468-44ea-bbd0-a10a5167435c.

The service plan has the status PendingProvisioning and is waiting for activation. A change to the service plan does not yet have any effect, but can serve as preparation.

Microsoft has added a new service to the product SKU and it isn’t activated in the tenant.
