OneDrive in Outlook

Hat jemand in der Vergangenheit in Outlook im Web oder im neuen Outlook für Windows auf das OneDrive Icon in der Quicklaunch Bar geklickt, öffnete Outlook OneDrive in einem neuen Browser-Tab.

Neu öffnen Outlook im Web und das neue Outlook für Windows OneDrive direkt in Outlook. Im neuen Outlook wird eine Internetverbindung vorausgesetzt.
Laut Microsoft bleibt ein Benutzer mit der Änderung in der gewohnten Umgebung und muss nicht zwischen verschiedenen Orten wechseln.

Previously, the OneDrive for Business button in Outlook on the web opened a new tab for OneDrive. With this change, you will see OneDrive folders and files inside of Outlook for the web, for a consistent and fast experience.

Mit einem Rechtsklick auf das OneDrive Icon…

Open in new tab > Du kannst dein OneDrive in Outlook im Web weiterhin in einem neuen Browser-Tab öffnen.
Open in new window > Du kannst OneDrive im neuen Outlook für Windows als eigenes Fenster öffnen. OneDrive ist dadurch auf dem Windows PC getrennt von Outlook offen.

Important OneDrive storage change for Microsoft Enterprise customers

Microsoft is removing legacy OneDrive storage entitlements for Enterprise organizations with users above 5 TB. Organizations with affected users should reduce storage, buy a storage add-on, or wait for OneDrive Storage PAYG before quotas are enforced; otherwise, OneDrive will become read-only for those users.

Migration required: Microsoft is retiring the Azure-backed Whiteboard service

Microsoft is ending the transition from Azure-backed Whiteboards to OneDrive-backed Whiteboards. Users must migrate before 22 August. All non-migrated Whiteboards will be permanently deleted on 5 September 2026. This post covers the timeline, what it means for your users, and how to report Whiteboards still waiting to be migrated.
