Microsoft is changing the call history experience in the Teams Calls app for multi-line calling.
Until now, call history, voicemails, and recordings were combined for all numbers, which can be confusing if you get calls on multiple numbers. With this update, multi-line calling numbers will be organized by phone line in dedicated tabs, with dedicated call history, voicemails, and recordings.
This enhancement applies only to Teams Phone users who have multi-line calling enabled and is available on Teams for Windows, Mac, and Web.
Timeline
The rollout should be completed by November 2026.
How does this affect your users?
Users with multi-line calling enabled will find dedicated tabs for each number in the Teams Calls app.
The Personal tab shows the primary number, followed by a tab for each multi-line number configuration. Teams supports up to 11 phone numbers (1 primary + 1 private + up to 9 alternate), so users may see up to 11 tabs, one for each number.

Compared to the previous behavior, phone number activity now appears under the line it belongs to, so users can view and manage each line separately.
Each line tab contains the following:
- Call history: Shows calls associated with that phone line.
- Voicemails: Shows voicemails received on that phone line.
- Call recordings: Shows recordings of calls associated with that phone line.
When a user is in a line's tab, Teams also automatically selects the number as the outgoing line for calls. Previously, users had to switch the outgoing number.

The enhancement is available for eligible users with multi-line calling configured.
